Built in 1930 its architect is currently unknown.

Unusually, its frontage to Wylde Street is enigmatic; just a plain metal gate and driveway.

Nothing more can be seen.

The passing public may not even notice it.

The building itself cascades down its site to overlook Elizabeth Bay.

At its entrance is a carpark and foyer.

The private apartments are below the entrance to take full advantage of the water views with picuresque patios.

One of the apartments was owned the late Dame Joan Sutherland (1926-2020), known as “La Stupenda” and of the most celebrated operatic sopranos.

She also owned properties at Whale Beach, Woollahra and Switzerland where she lived.
