Baz Inc. is the name of a new, exclusively Australian women’s, boutique in Potts Point.

In a piece of Aussie entrepreneurial skill, the owner’s school nickname, Baz, has morphed into her own successful brand.

She has a passion for fashion.

Her boutique’s Negro Marquina black marble and polished brass numbered entrance oozes quality and class. The brass doggie water bowl is indicative of her attention to detail.

Baz has been involved in colour, women’s fashion and design for decades.

She says her Autumn collection “is a range of wearable pieces that embrace luxe and comfort. The chosen fabrics are soft, drape beautifully and keep you warm and cosy. This range takes the guesswork out of Autumn/Winter dressing and makes your wardrobe one to love, feel confident and effortlessly elegant in the ensemble.”

Her unique feature is that she designs her own collections and has them made by Aussies here in Sydney.

She goes for an effortless look and allows the drape of the fabric to guide her designs. She uses the best silks and velvets and less obvious, smooth, tactile fabrics such as Scuba, a man-made, double knit fabric with a slight stretch, easy to care for which doesn’t fray.

Her style and effervescent personality are contagious. Her boutique incorporates18^th century Chinese papier-mâché drum stools, French Bérgeres and hand-cut paper chandeliers by Yael Ginsham.

It’s all a master class in chic.
