ONE GYM FOR ALL
Luke Istomin and Rochelle De Luca are wedded to their jobs – literally. This vivacious husband and wife team own and run REUNION Training, a gym in Potts Point, and unsurprisingly, originally met at a gym! They were partners for eight years before marrying 18 months ago.
They have over 30 years of experience between them and are fully accredited trainers as are all the gym’s coaches. They christened it REUNION to reflect its inclusivity and strong sense of community. They live locally and love the area for its rich mix of diversity.
REUNION focuses on high performance and strength in group training classes based on individual pre-assessments. Classes are groups of 24 and cater for all age groups. The average age is the mid-30s and ranges to over 70. Everyone is welcome.
Weights for strength and conditioning including barbells and aerobic machines are also available.
Luke says “you can’t out-train a bad diet” emphasizing the importance of lifestyle to overall health and wellness. A nutritionist is available to offer advice to Reunion members.
Rochelle says “individual performance is logged and reviewed. You can see results in four weeks and by eight weeks others will be commenting on them too.”
Membership is available at attractive weekly rates.
REUNION Training has other gyms at 305 Kent Street CBD and level 1, 509 Pittwater Rd Brookvale with another due to be opened at Edgecliff in the New Year. They have also just launched franchise opportunities to expand their network.
